Welcome to the Inchcape Careers Portal.  Please make sure that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions as you will be asked as part of your registration to confirm you have done so before you can register and set up an account on the Inchcape Careers Portal. 

Definitions

The following definitions shall apply to these Terms and Conditions

Inchcape UK registered office is at First Floor, Unit 3140 Park Square, Solihull Parkway, Solihull, B37 7YN.

“Website” means https://inchcape.careers.co.uk or any other website under Inchcape’s ownership or control from which a link has been created to these terms and conditions.

“You”, “Your” and "Yours” means the person accessing the Website

“We”, “Us” and “Our” means any Inchcape entity

“Content” shall have the meaning provided in paragraph 1.2 of these Terms and Conditions

“Inchcape Careers Portal” refers to the Website through which you upload your personal information and register for a new position at Inchcape.

“Personal Information” means that the details that you provide to us when you register for the Inchcape Careers Hub, such as your name, e-mail address, home address, and telephone number.

  1. Using the Inchcape Careers Portal

    1. Use of the Inchcape Careers Portal is provided solely for your personal use.  To use the Inchcape Careers Portal, you will be required to register your personal details.  Using the Inchcape Careers Portal for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to amend any element of these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice, so please ensure you always check the latest version.  We have the right to withdraw or edit the Inchcape Careers Portal and its content either temporarily or permanently, and we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to, or withdrawal of, the Inchcape Careers Portal and you agree to use it on that basis.

    2. All logo’s, photographs, text, graphics, trademarks, artwork, sounds, videos, music, user interfaces, visual interfaces and computer code (“the content”) belongs to Inchcape (or is licenced to Inchcape).  The content is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights, and you are not permitted to reproduce copy or change it in any way whatsoever.

    3. Whilst we will try to ensure that the Inchcape Careers Portal is accessible 24 hours per day, we shall not be liable if for any reason the Website is unavailable at any time for any period.  Access to the Website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system maintenance, failure, or repair beyond our control.

    4. While we endeavour to verify the accuracy of any information we place on the Inchcape Careers Portal we make no warranties (whether express or implied) in relation to its accuracy.  Where we provide hypertext links to other websites, we do so for information purposes only; we will not accept responsibility for the content of any other websites, or pages linking from our Website.  We have not verified the content of any such website. If you choose to follow links to other websites, you do this at your own risk. It is your responsibility to take protective measures to guard against all viruses or other destructive elements.

  2. Registration

    1. By registering an Account with Inchcape Careers Portal you understand and accept that we collect, use, store and process your Personal Information in accordance with our Inchcape Careers Portal Privacy Policy.  We fully respect individual privacy of those who access our website. For information on the type of information that we collect, how and for what purpose, we use your information and under what circumstances we would disclose information please refer to our Privacy Policy.

    2. When you register an Account on the Inchcape Careers Portal, you agree that:

  1. The Personal Information which you are required to provide is accurate.

  2. You agree not to impersonate any other person or entity or to use a false name or a name that you are not authorised to use.

  3. It is your responsibility to keep your Personal Information confidential, if you are aware of any unauthorised use of your Account please notify us at careers@inchcape.co.uk immediately.  Please ensure that you sign out of your account after the end of each session if you use a shared computer.  We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with our Terms & Conditions.

  4. If any of your information changes, please ensure that you update your Account within the Inchcape Careers Portal, as you are in control of your data and are able to update or remove it at any time.

  1. Vacancies and Job Alerts

    1. We encourage you to visit Inchcape Careers Portal at your leisure, as you are able to browse live vacancies and apply for any roles that you feel match your skills.  You will also have the opportunity to sign up to job alerts to receive information about future opportunities when they arise, and we may also contact you if we think they may be suitable for you.

    2. Inchcape operates a robust, fair and consistent recruitment process. Applying for a role through the Inchcape Careers Portal does not guarantee that you will be interviewed or appointed for the role.  We will appoint the most suitable candidate for the role.

    3. When applying for an opportunity and providing Personal Information, you agree to do so in line with these Terms and Conditions and that you have prior consent in order to submit any personal data in respect of or relating to any referee(s).

    4. If you have a registered Account on the Inchcape Careers Portal, the Inchcape Resourcing Team may contact you if they feel your skills are a match to a vacancy. By approaching you to discuss the opportunity or inviting you to apply does not guarantee your application will be successful.

    5. Inchcape receive a high volume of applications and will endeavour to keep you updated on progress in a timely manner.

  2. Liability

Neither Inchcape, nor any other third party involved in creating, producing, maintaining or delivering the Website will be liable for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result to you or a third party in connection with your use, inability to use or the results of the Website, any websites linked to the Website or the material on such websites; or any amount or kind of loss or damage including without limitation any loss or damage due to viruses that may infect your computer equipment, software, data or other property on account of your access to, use of, or browsing the Website or your downloading of any Material from the Website or any websites linked to the Website

If you use of the Website results in a cost for the need of servicing, repair or correction of your equipment, software or data Inchcape will not be liable for those costs.

    1. You will accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic whilst using the Inchcape Careers Portal.  We will contact you via email or SMS or through providing information through your Inchcape Careers Portal Account.  For Contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all emails, texts, contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal or any other requirement that such communications be in writing.
